Truck Driver

To operate the collections truck for movement of moulds between collections and Envirocon factory in Penrose and complete internal block deliveries.

Purpose: 

Envirocon has collection sites across Auckland located at Ranui, Avondale, East Tamaki and Drury. The role of the truck driver will be to transport empty moulds from our plant in Penrose and service remote collection sites in either West /North Auckland or East Auckland. The return trip will see the driver bringing back full moulds to the Penrose plant for demoulding. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Truck operations
    • Operate the vehicle within the requirements of all laws at all times
    • Hold and maintain a transport log book with all working hours & breaks
    • Maintain safe loads and comply with all NZTA regulations
    • Log truck movements using Envirotrac to allow the company to see the levels of efficiency across the business
    • Operate a forklift to load and unload the flat deck truck
  • Health & Safety
    • Comply with all H&S requirements for Envirocon sites and Concrete company sites.
    • Report any incidents to management within 24 hours of the event occuring
    • Maintain a clean driving record
    • Not drive a vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol and be available for testing at any time the company requires
  • Clean truck
    • Thoroughly clean the outside of the truck with water blaster at least weekly.
    • Clean the inside of the cab at least once a week.
  • Maintain truck in good operating condition
    • Undertake daily truck checks using Envirotrac
    • Ensure truck has sufficient fuel. 
    • Report any maintenance issues with truck.
  • Do other activities as required be management
    • Make block deliveries across Auckland to support customer requirements
    • Assist at collection sites from time to time if sole charge operator is overloaded


This role requires some specific qualifications such as: 

  • License to operate 3.5T forklift
  • Class 4 ( to drive 8 speed road ranger) with a minimum of 2 years recent experience

 

Reports to: Transport Coordinator

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday; 7am to 3.30pm; Saturday 7am to 12pm (if required)

*Overtime might be required
